Our latest testimonial in the Florida Keys was with Nancy Dunn, owner of On Your Toes Dance Studio in Tavernier. We love hearing stories like Nancy's, about local businesses that start as a dream and grow into a multi-generational family operation. Here's what Nancy had to say during our interview:
"I started teaching dance 25 years ago, sharing a studio space with a friend upstairs in the Forest Tek Building. Attendance grew so quickly that we moved to a space on the first floor of the Old Tavernier Restaurant building. Back then our Christmas Shows were held on a stage built in the parking lot! Once again, growth in attendance forced us to look for a larger space. So 17 years ago, my husband, Pat, decided to build our current studio which more than met the demands of my growing business. I am very proud that after completing her education at the University of Florida, my daughter, Stephanie, has joined me at the studio as a teacher and co-director.
