Jaime Ramos, from our Deposit Operations Department, has been working to help middle school migrant students for many years. His goal is to buy 'brand name' backpacks for as many students as possible. This year he started off early by organizing a bake sale that was held today at the main office. This small event raised over $350! Great job Jaime, you are an inspiration to us all.
In case you haven't heard... Rodbenders Raw Bar & Grill was the winner of our Outstanding Local Business Award contest! Congratulations to owner Kathy McMillan. The announcement was made recently at the Finalists Luncheon. Chefs on the Run and White Lion Cafe, the other 2 finalists, were also honored at the luncheon. Thank you to everyone who participated or voted for their favorite nominee. Special thanks to our independent panel of community leaders who judged the top 3 finalists. We hope to see all of you back next year!
