CBF is proud to celebrate Ana Muniz’s 10th anniversary! Mrs. Muniz is the Assistant Financial Center Manager of our Haines City Office. She has been in the banking industry for over 19 years, working her way up from a teller position.
Ana is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico and now lives in Davenport with her husband, John. She is extremely proud of her two grown children and is hoping for a daughter in-law in the near future. When she is not spending time reading, watching movies with her family or giving attention to their dogs, she is volunteering for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Ana is constantly recognized at bank meetings for continuing her education. She holds a diploma in bookkeeping and through the Center for Financial Training (CFT), has earned five diplomas and six certificates, including the Supervisor Certificate, a 24 credit program and numerous business and banking courses. She is currently enrolled in a Human Relations course. When asked about her continued education, Ana said, “What I like about working for Community Bank is that they offer the opportunity for anyone to advance themselves through training in courses with the CFT.”

CBF is proud to celebrate Denise Held's 15th anniversary! Mrs. Held is a Vice President of Financial Center Administration, which means she makes sure all of the branches are balanced, staffed and running smoothly. Her tenure at CBF combined with past banking experience gives her over 30 years of financial knowledge.
Denise is most well known among the bank for being an avid shoe lover and collector. Since her children are grown and live in Orlando, she uses much of her free time volunteering and using her finance skills to assist non-profits. She is a long time member and a director for Soroptimist International of Homestead, and treasurer for the Soroptimist International of the America’s Southern Region. She also assists the Homestead Soup Kitchen by keeping their finances in order and serves at Christ Fellowship at the Palmetto Bay Campus. Reflecting on her years of service, Denise stated, “Community Bank, by far, is the best place to work! This organization truly cares for their employees, they’re my family.”

Check out our photo album to see what a blast we had on Tuesday. It was our Business Plus Network monthly meeting, but instead of a guest speaker, we had a Speed Networking activity. Everyone spent 2 minutes meeting another member, talking about their goals and challenges. We saw some great connections and can't wait to hear about them referring other member's businesses.
If you own a business in the South Dade area, join our membership. There's no obligation and it's free. You don't even have to be our customer. Ask us for more information!

CBF is proud to celebrate Joann Bower’s recent promotion to Assistant Financial Center Manager. Joann has been a part of our team for over seven years and excels at customer service and helping people find the best products to fit their needs. Hired as a part time teller, Joann was soon promoted to a full time personal banker and spent several years supervising a teller line. She has been preparing herself for advancement and when the opportunity came along, she was an obvious choice.
Joann has earned her General Banking and Banking Specialist Certificates from Miami Dade College and is a volunteer at Miami Vineyard Community Church. Her free time is devoted to her 11 year old daughter, who is a talented dancer. The two often attend theatrical and ballet dance performances because of their shared love for dance and Joann’s interest in theatrical makeup. She even has her own YouTube channel featuring her fashion and theater makeup artistry.
Joann was born in Miami but has come to love living and working in Homestead, stating, “I have had the opportunity to establish wonderful relationships with local residents and small business owners. I am grateful for how hospitable everyone has been and my family loves all the community events that are held. They give us a chance to spend quality time together.”

Veterans Day is a tradition that dates back to November 11, 1919, when President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed this day as Armistice Day in honor of all World War I veterans. Since then it has been observed as a federal holiday in honor of military veterans who served our great nation. Join us in thanking all veterans, for risking their lives to provide us security.
