Community Bank of Florida is pleased to support Chapman Elementary’s fifth grade “End of the Year Celebration.” The donation helps underprivileged students have the opportunity to attend the event and celebrate their school year accomplishments. Grateful for the donation, Principal Morris stated, “Community Bank of Florida is a valued partner and without business and community partners, it would be impossible to see our vision reach fruition.”

Jaime Ramos, Principal For A Day

Jaime Ramos recently filled in for Dr. Hunter at Leisure City K-8. The Principal For A Day experience made Jaime feel that "middle school children are the most important generation we are raising today. In speaking with the teachers and administrators at Leisure City, I found the majority of them go the extra mile and spend their own money trying to bring a positive and energetic approach to teaching so that the kids can learn and remember what they learned throughout their lifetime. I now have a different perspective and greater respect for the teachers in our schools. We must do more to help them in teaching the kids."

Community Bank of Florida is pleased to support the South Dade Senior High School football team. For many years the bank has been placing ads in the Bucs Football Booster Club Program, but this year a team photo was necessary to show the public who the District Champions are! Good luck to the Bucs on their Regional Game – you can cheer them on against Varela High tonight at Harris Field.

Community Bank of Florida Applauds Boy Scouts!

Community Bank of Florida is eager to share the big news - more than 20 Boy Scouts and adult supporters completed an Eagle Scout project at Homestead Bayfront Park on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Eagle candidate Tyler Wansakul, of Troop 69 in Princeton shared that nearly 200 community service hours were contributed to the project. Scouts renovated a pavilion adjacent to the boat ramp, the boater’s safety instruction area, and a lifeguard tower. The lifeguard tower, in dire need of repair, was uniquely painted in Miami Dolphin colors, including an animated dolphin.

To become an Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout candidate must plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to his community. Local Boy Scout Troop 69 continues their 66 year history of helping young men achieve the Scout’s highest honor. The completion of this project brings their total Eagle Scout recipients to over 250.
