    Come over on Saturday for a good cause

    Last updated 2 months ago

    We’re joining together to fundraise for one of our own –   a long term, well loved employee battling cancer. Stop by for a $5 car wash and check out tons of yard sale items including clothing and furniture. If you get hungry, we’ve got hot dogs and baked goods with cold drinks to wash them down!

    Happy New Year!

    Let us remember old friends and good times gone by... We wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2014.

    Wondering what Auld Lang Syne is all about? Written by a Scottish man named Robert Burns in the 1700s, the song wasn't intended for the holidays. It just so happened that on the stroke of midnight in 1929, Guy Lombardo's band played the song at a live performance in New York and it has been a tradition even since. Want to impress everyone when they mumble through the song? Here are the translated words:

    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and never brought to mind?
    Should old acquaintance be forgot,
    and auld lang syne?

    CHORUS:
    For auld lang syne, my dear,
    for auld lang syne,
    we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.
    And surely you’ll buy your pint cup
    and surely I’ll buy mine!
    And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
    for auld lang syne.

    CHORUS
    We two have run about the slopes,
    and picked the daisies fine ;
    But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
    since auld lang syne.

    CHORUS
    We two have paddled in the stream,
    from morning sun till dine;
    But seas between us broad have roared
    since auld lang syne.

    CHORUS
    And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
    And give us a hand o’ thine !
    And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
    for auld lang syne.

    CHORUS
