CBF is happy to announce Carmen Lopez is celebrating her 20th year as a bank employee. Carmen has a total of 26 years of banking experience, familiar with both customer service and behind the scenes jobs. She came to Homestead from Yonkers, New York back in the early 90's and joined the CBF team as a teller. Her past teller skills quickly earned her a promotion to vault teller and eventually to teller supervisor. In 2005, she was promoted to the compliance department, where she is currently a bank secrecy act specialist. In this role, Carmen makes sure all the employees are on top of their compliance training and fill out all the mandatory forms to keep customer accounts safe.
Carmen and her husband settled into the Homestead area easily, joining the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. She decided to get more involved and has been an integral part of their annual festival as well as treasurer for the past 13 years. She enjoys spending time with her adult children and grandchildren, going to the movies and to theme parks. When asked about the transition from New York to Homestead, Carmen said "We arrived from New York to Homestead in 1993. I am thankful for all we have accomplished, for the beautiful fellowship we have in our church and especially for our 9 grandchildren that were born here in Homestead."
