Community Bank of Florida is pleased to support the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Miami Walk. Local business owner Karen Alba and her son, Diego, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, brought the walk to the bank’s attention. Cystic Fibrosis is a life threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of tens of thousands of young people. Since she is so passionate about helping those affected, Karen and her husband opened the Pediatric Respiratory Care center in Homestead to provide respiratory therapy to patients of all ages and conditions like Cystic Fibrosis. If you would like to help, you can join the event or make a donation at any Community Bank location. The walk will be held on Sunday, May 5th at Historic Virginia Key Park. Check in and the beach party themed festivities begin at 8am, with the walk commencing at 9 am.
