Community Bank of Florida is excited to announce that Bette Brown has joined their financial family as Senior Vice President of Credit Administration. Mrs. Brown is a seasoned banker, with over 30 years of experience in both retail and commercial banking.
Mrs. Brown was born in Ohio and graduated from Stetson University before beginning her banking career. She expanded her financial services knowledge at the Florida School of Banking and later attended the advanced level Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Her extensive local business and community involvement has earned her many accolades over the years, including the 2011 Florida Keys Board of Realtors Affiliate of the Year Award as well as being named Woman of the Year five years in a row as part of the Upper Keys People’s Choice Awards. She is a board member of the Key Largo Preservation Foundation, an executive committee member of the Mariners Hospital Operating Board and president elect for the Upper Keys Rotary Club. She is also a board member of the Florida Bankers Association Government Relations Committee and Bank PAC. In her free time, Bette enjoys long distance road biking and is active working and fundraising for her women and children’s health clinic in Haiti.
