Community Bank of Florida was pleased to make a donation to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). The FCA is the largest Christian sports organization in America and has served communities since 1954 by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference. The FCA supports male and female student athletes of all sports, as well as their coaches. They aim to bring their program wherever the athletes are located, whether it is at sports camps, campus meetings called “Huddles” or Bible Studies.
The local FCA chapter extends from Florida City to Bird Road and includes South Dade Senior, Southridge Senior, Palmetto and Killian High Schools. Homestead resident and former South Dade High school football star Noah Wilbanks believed so strongly in the FCA’s four Core Values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence, that he quit his job as a high school teacher and coach and became a full time staff member at the FCA. For the last seven years he has served as the local Area Representative, running football camps, working with the Coaches Ministry and helping schools form student led, student initiated huddles. He was pleased to receive the donation from Community Bank so that he could continue helping local young people change their lives. For further information or to make a donation to the FCA, contact Noah Wilbanks at (786) 752-0845 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
