We recently visited Triana Fence to interview them for our latest testimonial and we were blown away by their metalworking skills. We asked Rick to tell us more about his business and here's what he had to say:
“My father started Triana Family Fence, Inc. in Miami in 1971. A few years later, we moved to Homestead and established the family owned and operated business we still run today. Although I’ve taken the reins, my dad stops by every day and checks on job sites and my mom helps out with the accounting. My son has taken over the custom design work and some days my grandkids come visit.
We specialize in decorative aluminum gates and operators, but we also offer field, chain link, wood privacy, PVC and horse fences. Whether you need something special for your home or something simple for your grove and animal enclosures, we can help. All of our work is done in-house and we don’t use subcontractors.
Just as we have been running our family business for three generations, we have had a partnership with Community Bank for almost as long. Over the years they’ve been there to help us; many years ago their assistance with our taxes helped our business through a critical time. Recently, we needed to move to a customized building and our lender was there to help us finance it. Lisa was incredible, walking us step by step through the purchase of a foreclosed property, making the process easy for us. We feel like we bank with a company like ours - a family.”

If you saw our post with Santa Claus, you know we were fundraising for Kiwanis International’s "Eliminate Project," which raises money to eliminate neonatal tetanus across the globe. Money raised from employee photos was matched by the bank, making our total donation $370! Pictured here, Aileen (center) presents the check to Emilia and Charles Gugliuzza . Emilia and Chuck are the Florida District of Kiwanis International Coordinators for The Eliminate Project.

CBF is pleased to announce Karla Knowles-Vega has been promoted to Manager of the Deposit Operations Department. Mrs. Knowles-Vega became a part of the Financial Family in 2003, working at the Krome office. She transferred into the Deposit Operations area in 2005 and quickly became a source of knowledge within the department. Her new job responsibilities include overseeing the daily functions of the department, assisting with customer calls, as well as employee calls.
Karla is a Miami native and currently resides in Homestead with her husband and her daughter. She is a graduate of South Dade Senior High School, has an Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor’s program at Miami Dade College for Business Administration Supervision and Management. In her free time, Karla enjoys spending time with her family and baking. Looking forward to her new position, Karla stated, “Community Bank is a great company to work for; management truly appreciates all of the employees and allows everyone the opportunity for advancement.”
