The Krome Office is getting ready for Relay for Life! Kudos to these ladies– they've been selling hot dogs, sodas and chips and have already raised over $450! Stop by their office for lunch and for just $3, you can have the combo.
If you saw our post with Santa Claus, you know we were fundraising for Kiwanis International’s "Eliminate Project," which raises money to eliminate neonatal tetanus across the globe. Money raised from employee photos was matched by the bank, making our total donation $370! Pictured here, Aileen (center) presents the check to Emilia and Charles Gugliuzza . Emilia and Chuck are the Florida District of Kiwanis International Coordinators for The Eliminate Project.
CBF is pleased to announce Karla Knowles-Vega has been promoted to Manager of the Deposit Operations Department. Mrs. Knowles-Vega became a part of the Financial Family in 2003, working at the Krome office. She transferred into the Deposit Operations area in 2005 and quickly became a source of knowledge within the department. Her new job responsibilities include overseeing the daily functions of the department, assisting with customer calls, as well as employee calls.
Karla is a Miami native and currently resides in Homestead with her husband and her daughter. She is a graduate of South Dade Senior High School, has an Associate’s degree from Miami Dade College and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor’s program at Miami Dade College for Business Administration Supervision and Management. In her free time, Karla enjoys spending time with her family and baking. Looking forward to her new position, Karla stated, “Community Bank is a great company to work for; management truly appreciates all of the employees and allows everyone the opportunity for advancement.”
